Experience Alaska's premier classical music festival, where exquisite chamber music resonates in the pristine setting of Southeast. Immerse yourself in the beauty of live performances surrounded by nature's grandeur, creating a truly unforgettable musical experience.

Founded in 1972 by Paul Rosenthal, the Sitka Summer Music Festival quickly established itself as a premier chamber music event when Gregor Piatigorsky performed in 1974. The festival has since gained national recognition through features in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. Now in its 53rd season, the festival has expanded its presence across Alaska year-round.

In Sitka, the festival now spans four weeks every June, offering up to 28 concerts and events at various locations, with at least one free event each week. In July, the festival hosts three weeks of concert programming featuring distinguished guest artists and fellows at the Sitka International Cello Seminar.

You can check out all events and concerts being held on the Sitka Music Festivals Website and here on the Travel Sitka site under events.
