SITKA SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL​
Alaska’s premiere classical music festival, presenting exquisite chamber music in the pristine setting of Southeast Alaska. The finest musicians from around the world gather in this rarefied paradise for four weeks of events that will challenge and excite your senses.

SITKA FINE ARTS CAMP​
Held at Sheldon Jackson Campus. Since 1973, the Fine Arts Camp has been attracting students ages 12-18 from Alaska and beyond to study the fine arts of theater, dance, music, visual arts, writing and Alaska Native arts. First class professional artists and skilled teachers are recruited throughout the country.

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION​
A grand celebration complete with parade, demonstrations, game and food booths, softball tournament, dance, and fireworks display.

ALPINE ADVENTURE RUN ​
75 runners participate in The Running of the Alpine Adventure Run, a 7-mile mountain run. $35 fee includes a T-shirt.

SITKA FARMERS MARKET​
Every other Saturday vendors sell fresh local produce, baked goods, jams & jellies, fresh frozen local fish, local art and crafts, grilled black cod for sale. Live music.

Sitka Mermaid Festival is a week-long event devoted to “being a voice for the sea”, featuring activities, education, activism and a market with sea-themed art, food & entertainment.
