Held at Sheldon Jackson Campus. Since 1973, the Fine Arts Camp has been attracting students ages 12-18 from Alaska and beyond to study the fine arts of theater, dance, music, visual arts, writing and Alaska Native arts. First class professional artists and skilled teachers are recruited throughout the country.
Every other Saturday vendors sell fresh local produce, baked goods, jams & jellies, fresh frozen local fish, local art and crafts, grilled black cod for sale. Live music.
Sitka Mermaid Festival is a week-long event devoted to “being a voice for the sea”, featuring activities, education, activism and a market with sea-themed art, food & entertainment.
